We will also be honoring our 2024 Jewel of the Community, Odayme Quesada, MD, MHS. As Medical Director of The Women's Heart Center at The Christ Hospital Heart and Vascular Institute, Dr. Quesada has advanced clinical and research experience in women's cardiovascular disease and is an innovative leader.

Odayme Quesada, MD, MHS, is Medical Director of The Women’s Heart Center at The Christ Hospital Heart and Vascular Institute, Ginger Warner Endowed Chair in Women’s Cardiovascular Health, and Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Quesada is a board-certified cardiologist with advanced clinical and research experience in women’s cardiovascular disease and an innovative leader in the community.
Dr. Quesada graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida in Gainesville and received her Medical Degree and Master of Health Science from the Yale University School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and her clinical cardiovascular fellowship and a National Institute of Health (NIH) T32 Cardiovascular Research Fellowship in Women’s Cardiovascular Disease at the Cedars-Sinai Smidt Heart Institute and Barbra Streisand Women’s Heart Center in Los Angeles, California. In 2020, Dr. Quesada was recruited to establish and lead, as Medical Director, The Women’s Heart Center at The Christ Hospital Heart and Vascular Institute. Dr. Quesada was awarded an NIH K23 Career Development Award for her work to better understand the increased cardiovascular risk associated with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, and she leads numerous multicenter clinical studies to advance care in women’s cardiovascular disease with The Carl and Edyth Lindner Center for Research and Education. To close the health gap and attain health equity in disadvantaged women, she has established numerous collaborations with community organizations such as Closing the Health Gap, Latina Heart Health Collaborative, and the American Heart Association. Dr. Quesada was awarded the Cincinnati Business Courier’s Health Care Heroes Innovator Award and the Forty under 40 Award for her commitment to closing the gaps in cardiovascular care for women through research, education, community outreach, and advocacy.

Our mission is to provide the highest quality programs to benefit all residents in our city and surrounding areas. Below are a few examples on how the charitable donations have allowed us to take an active role in the community:
Contributed 100% of donations towards college scholarships for many of our community’s young people to complete their college educational dreams.
Supported youth by providing books and gift cards during the school year.
Provided buses, lunch, and tickets for the many of the city’s high school students to attend the Men of Change event at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center 2019.
Purchased coats and made monetary donations to the NAACP Children’s Coat drive in Winter of 2021.
Collected ~$1,300 worth of beauty products, hair care products, and undergarments for young girls in The Lighthouse New Beginnings treatment program Spring 2022.
Partnered with a 3rd grade* class at the Academy of World Languages Elementary School, (in conjunction with the Cincinnati Adopt a Class program) Spring 2022.
*Educational studies indicate a significant number of children have problems with reading by the time they reach the 3rd grade.

Your donation will be acknowledged in several ways. We will list you on our website, as well as on any promotional materials we produce. Women's Alliance Inc. is dedicated to improving the lives of youth through college scholarships and programs designed to empower and uplift. Hats Galore is the organization's signature event, and raises money to help fund more than $10,000 in scholarships annually.
