About Our Scholarships
Our Senior Award Scholarship was established in 1976 to promote and acknowledge deserving young women who have demonstrated academic achievement, as well as a commitment to good citizenship and community service. The Senior Award is a four-year scholarship, awarding $2,000 annually, designed to honor African American, female, high school seniors who demonstrate academic excellence, citizenship, and community service. In addition, it covers up to $1,000 annually for course materials and includes four years of mentorship from 2 of our WA Mentors to help guide recipients on their educational journey.
Founders' Award Scholarship - $500
Our Founder's Award is provided to one deserving recipient from the scholarship pool. This award is a one-time stipend of $500, to support any college expenses. Founder's Award winners are selected from Senior Award applicants.
